Track a subscription refund without confusing it with cancellation

Review checklist

1. Record refund request, approval and settlement as separate dated events. Record the source and review date so another person can reproduce the decision.
2. Open the subscription account to verify future renewal status independently from the refund message. Keep uncertain items as candidates until the account owner confirms the billing relationship.
3. Reconcile the final statement amount and currency because partial refunds and fees can differ from the original charge. Preserve a dated confirmation or export before changing an account, plan or renewal setting.
