Evaluate a downgrade before cancelling a subscription
A downgrade may preserve needed data or access at lower cost, but limits and timing can differ from cancellation.

Review checklist
- List features, storage, seats and history that would change on the lower plan. Record the source and review date so another person can reproduce the decision.
- Confirm whether the downgrade applies immediately or at the next renewal and whether credits are prorated. Keep uncertain items as candidates until the account owner confirms the billing relationship.
- Back up or reduce over-limit data before accepting a change that could restrict access. Preserve a dated confirmation or export before changing an account, plan or renewal setting.
