Distinguish a paused plan from a cancelled subscription
Paused access may resume automatically and retain a future charge date, unlike a fully cancelled renewal.

Review checklist
- Record pause start, scheduled resume and any reduced fee as separate fields. Record the source and review date so another person can reproduce the decision.
- Confirm whether the provider displays no next charge or a future automatic restart. Keep uncertain items as candidates until the account owner confirms the billing relationship.
- Set a reminder before automatic resumption and do not count projected savings beyond the pause period. Preserve a dated confirmation or export before changing an account, plan or renewal setting.
