Verify a subscription-data backup before relying on it
A useful backup needs a known format, integrity check and a tested restore path, not just a downloaded filename.

Review checklist
- Export from the current app version and note the date, device and included data categories. Record the source and review date so another person can reproduce the decision.
- Keep the backup encrypted or in a private location because it can reveal service and spending patterns. Keep uncertain items as candidates until the account owner confirms the billing relationship.
- Run a non-destructive validation or restore on a spare profile before deleting the original copy. Preserve a dated confirmation or export before changing an account, plan or renewal setting.

Before you act
Do not publish raw email, full card numbers, passwords or verification codes, including in support messages. Exporting data, disconnecting an account and deleting server data are different actions.
